For several years, there has been a Missions Group meeting monthly on a Monday evening. I've never been before last night, since I try to take time out on a Monday. The gathering has now moved to a Sunday evening, and last night I was asked to share about the Vine Trust. The Missions Group aims to increase awareness and understanding of global mission issues. They have organised meetings to look at Islam and the Enviroment as well as keeping in touch with everyone from Hilton Church working in various places around the globe. A central part of the gathering is time spent praying for all our global partners in mission. It was good to be there last night, and I'll certainly try to be there in future months.
