LIGHTHOUSE

We have been forced to take the decision to close the Lighthouse during the day tomorrow (Thursday). A combination of staff illness and other volunteer commitments has meant that we don't have adequate cover in terms of trained volunteers. This is only the second time that we have had to close for a day in over one year. It's a testimony to the commitment and hard work of our relatively small group of staff and volunteers that we have been able to be open almost 100% of the scheduled hours, given that we are often working close to the wire in terms of staff and volunteer cover.

Perhaps you are reading this and wondering whether you could help and make a difference at the Lighthouse. The difference between opening and being closed tomorrow was one trained volunteer.
