History has come along way in the last 30 years! I really enjoyed studying history at both school and university. It struck me last night that it must be quite a bonus for teachers and students of history these days to be able to access so many TV programmes which seek to bring these events to life. There's even a TV channel devoted solely to History! For anyone interested in Church history, the BBC4 programme A HISTORY OF CHRISTIANITY is a must. Last night I watched the 4th programme in the series which was about the Reformation. (all the programmes can be seen on BBC iPLAYER. It gave a helpful general overview of the time, and it will give you some important insights into the Protestant tradition, of which the Church of Scotland is a part.
