LIGHTHOUSE MANAGEMENT TEAM

Last night we had one of our regular management team meetings for the Lighthouse. In the midst of some quite challenging circumstances, the general tenor of the meeting was very positive. The level of the business at the cafe continues to rise significantly, and we urgently need to recruit a new member of staff. Hopefully I can post the advert on the blog soon. The garden is now well underway, and we hope this will be a significant asset to the cafe in terms of additional capacity over the warmer months of the year. We also had to consider a policy in terms of when we would have to close the cafe on particular days when we simply didn't have sufficient staff and volunteers to run it. We hope that it will never come to such a situation, but to be honest, it's been a close call on at least one day recently. We have come so far over the past 30 months, and it's really encouraging to see such a talented team managing the Lighthouse, and such a committed team of staff and volunteers heading up with work on a day to day basis.
