I've just watched Songs of Praise which tonight was celebrating the life and witness of Sir Cliff Richard. Cliff gave his testimony at a Billy Graham rally 42 years ago, and ever since his life has been subject to intense scrutiny by the media. The interview with Sally Magnusson gives a well balanced and moving insight into his life and Christian faith. At his funeral, he would like the song, " When I survey the wondrous cross." sung because it speaks of being at the feet of Jesus. His choice of epitaph might be,"Rock n' roll and God works well together in the hands of someone who loves them both." Sunday 7 December 2008
