lighthouse painting

We had a really encouraging and productive morning of painting at the Lighthouse today. We began at 8.30am and by 11am, we had painted both cafe areas. We had 12 volunteers which meant that "many hands make light work!" Sadly, I didn't have my camera with me, so I can't show you any of the evidence. The Lighthouse opens next Monday, so it's good to have been able to freshen it up for a new year. The Lighthouse will be open from 9am -3pm every Monday from next week. It's amazing to think that it's now nearly 30 months since we painted the whole building for the first time. It's great to be able to reflect on all that has taken place at the Lighthouse since then. This Sunday evening, we will be having the first of a series of evening services in the cafe, which is another first.
