Over the past 2 months we have been looking at the minor prophets at our evening services. On Sunday evening, Hector Morrison was preaching on Nahum. He told us that he had never preached on Nahum and on being asked, only one person from the congregation could ever remember hearing a sermon on this very marginalised minor prophet! We were therefore in very new territory on Sunday evening. I wonder what other obscure passages or books we can find to preach from! On Sunday evening we discovered that Nahum has a very relevant message for us today despite its origins in the 7th century BC. Thanks to Hector for opening up this challenging prophet for us.
