At our Remembrance service today, we reflected on Jesus' call to be peacemakers. Jesus calls us to take the initiative in being peacemakers. (Matthew 5 v23-24) The lack of peace and the outright conflict which often exemplifies the Christian Church is a major hindrance to the credibity of our faith. The BBC report which you can read here illustates the point well. We also watched the clip below . It is a powerful reminder of the pain and suffering which war and conflict brings.
