Last night Murray MacCheyne and I were at a training event with Peter Neilson for the establishment of a new Church on the sourthern edge of Inverness. St Columba High Church in the centre of the city will be closing down at some point in the future, and a new outreach will be established. Murray and I are part of team of 7 called a Commission, who have the responsibility for taking this vision forward. It's a really exciting opportunity for a group of local Christians, to work out what kind of a Church ( don't just think building!) will be able to communicate the radical life and good news about Jesus to a new part of town. Murray is the secretary of the Commission, so hopefully he will keep you posted on the developments as they happen. We would certainly value your prayers for wisdom and insight over the coming months.
