three years

The media is understandably full of coverage of 9/11 at the moment, as the 10th anniversary approaches this weekend. On a more positive note, this weekend also marks the 3rd anniversary of the beginning of the Lighthouse project. What an amazing journey we have been on over the past 3 years. The funny thing is, that it still feels as if we are only still at a very early stage in the project. If you want to be involved in a community project, you need to have a great deal of patience, because the establishment of the work is generally going to take several years. My heart is filled with a sense of gratitude this morning for all the many people who have played a part in the story so far, and I'm excited about the future as I see new people and new initiatives beginning to gather around the Lighthouse.
