The Princess Royal this evening attended a Dinner for the Vine Trust at the Roxburghe Hotel, 38 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor George Grubb, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost). I've recently joined the Board of the Vine Trust, so last night I was down in Edinburgh for the above event. The Princess Royal has been a very strong supporter of the Vine Trust. In 2007, she visited the projects in Peru.Last night she made an outstanding speech, full of humour and displaying a clear interest and understanding of the work of the Trust. The event raised around £30,000 for the Vine Trust.
