I asked for help from the elders yesterday setting up the communion service,and received an excellent response in terms of several turning up at 9am. I then asked for help with picking up a christmas tree for the church during this coming week, and have been inundated with verbal and email offers of help. Sometimes it feels like a bit of an uphill challenge finding people to help in various aspects of the congregations life, but these two situations have been exceptionally heartening. Thank you to everyone who offered to help, and thank you to so many people who do so much in a whole variety of different ways within the congregation.
