Elna has just spent the best part of two days in the office, trying to sort out our internet connection, only to discover that the connection is down for all Orange users! It's amazing how dependent we have become on the internet in terms of communication. If the internet had been available this morning, I would have used this video clip as part of the service.

Good stuff - and such passion. Strangely, I was preaching on the same theme at Castle Street Baptist Church on Sunday morning, suggesting that the Father's words to Jesus in Matt 3:17 and parallels are also true of every Christian 'in Christ Jesus'. It's a very encouraging message in which the Father is not ashamed to acknowledge us as his sons/ daughters; declares his love for us, as well as his pleasure and delight in us. I love Nouwen's emphasis on the 'First Love'.
