From time to time disasters strike, like for example mistakenly deleting your Sunday morning sermon on Saturday night! Not a great feeling. This week I realised on Thursday afternoon that I have been preparing from the lectionary readings for 10th May and not 3rd May. I'm not quite sure how I made the mistake. Sermon outline in the bin and start again! C'est la vie.

but perhaps God had a reason why you were preparing for the 10th, maybe binning it was a bit hasty? you could keep it and do the 3rd as well, and then you would be super prepared. maybe your not going to have time during the week to get a sermon ready for the 10th?
Thanks for the comment. I'm sure the work done will not be wasted. I was concious that another member of our preaching team had already prepared a sermon for 10th May, so didn't want to preach from the same texts as him.
