Every once in a while it is a useful exercise to step back from one's own church to reflect from a safe distance on what is going on. A good way to do this is to visit another church whose lifestyle and witness may be able to give some signs and encouragement in relation to possible ways forward. St Thomas' is such a church and you can read some of its fascinating story here. I am travelling down to Sheffield this weekend to share in their twice yearly visitors week.
